Art in historic Piggery Lane Studios on show and for sale this weekend

Aug 25, 2022

Piggery Lane Studios at Western Sydney University’s Richmond Campus is not as well known as it should be but this weekend the studios will be open as part of the Hawkesbury Artists and Artisans Trail, and will feature many original art works for sale from some of our best local artists.

Visitors will also be able to look through the working studios of five Hawkesbury artists who each have a Pigsty Studio.

They are Malcolm Robertson, Sharon Whittington, Kim Morris, Jenny Lloyd, and Marion Wilcox.

Some of the brilliant art on show and for sale this weekend, plus details about the artists…

Piggery Lane Studios is one of two heritage piggery buildings which are part of WSU’s agricultural history, set in a beautiful peaceful area of the university grounds on Campus Lane off Richmond Road, which used to be called Piggery Lane.

And as a bonus, next to the Piggery is Earthcare which will also be open on weekend, serving food, with organic produce and plants for sale too.

The Piggery Lane Studios are open this Saturday and Sunday, August 27 and 28 from 10am-4pm, and is well worth a visit.
