Bowen Mountain man dies in head-on crash at Grose Vale after two SUVs collide

A 32-year-old Bowen Mountain man died Monday evening following a head-on crash on Grose Vale Road, Grose Vale after two SUVs collided and the man was thrown from his vehicle.

Emergency services were called to the incident at 6.45pm after reports a Lexus SUV and a BMW SUV had collided head-on causing the Lexus to roll, ejecting the driver.

The Lexus driver and sole occupant, a 32-year-old man, was treated by paramedics; however, he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The BMW driver and sole occupant, a 57-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Nepean Hospital. She has since been released.

Officers from Hawksbury Police Area Command established a crime scene and have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared to the Coroner.
