COVID UPDATE – SUNDAY – 3 AGED CARE CASES BAULKHAM HILLS – NO CASES IN HAWKESBURY- 16 NEW NSW CASES
Not in the Hawkesbury, but close enough to warrant a mention this morning – three residents have tested positive to Covid-19 at a SummitCare aged care operation in Baulkham Hills after they were in close contact with two staff members who tested positive last week.
A woman in her 80s, a man in his 80s, and a man in his 90s tested positive for Covid, but here’s the thing – all three of them have been fully vaccinated – so two jabs each.
Two of the three residents who tested positive on Saturday night have been transferred to Westmead hospital as a precaution and apparently so far, are showing no symptoms.
The third resident remains at the home at the request of their family.
SummitCare says 96% of residents at the home are vaccinated, and the facility is now in lockdown.
Meanwhile, 16 new cases in NSW up to 8pm last night, none reported in the Hawkesbury.
