Flood stranded woman airlifted after fall in upper Macdonald this afternoon

Mar 11, 2022

A woman, aged in her 60s, has been flown to hospital with leg injuries after a fall in flood-affected upper Macdonald this afternoon.

The property where the woman fell remains without road access due to flooding.

The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly before 2:30pm and landed on the property.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment on the woman and provided initial treatment.

She was carried by the team to the helicopter and flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
