Restore Foundation sets out to help rebuild lives

Aug 27, 2021

A new charitable group called Restore Foundation based in the Hawkesbury is setting out to change peoples’ lives through wellness rehabilitation.

CEO of the new group, Pippa Cable, says the vision is to “rebuild the lives of those who have experienced loss, trauma and life-altering situations through a holistic and affordable health and wellness rehabilitation”.

“Our goal is to create a network that enables rescue from difficult places and to see people restored in themselves and in return their community rebuilt.”

Ms Cable’s company has been working for 20 years in injury and trauma rehabilitation and they have recently set up the charity organisation to establish what she calls, “unique multi-disciplinary wellness and social hubs within identified communities and with specific target audiences, for example women in distress, bushfire victims, the homeless, in a no, to low cost model.”

At this stage Ms Cable is looking for people to take part in a short online survey into the impact of health and wellbeing within the Hawkesbury as a result of the accumulated impact of fires, floods and COVID lockdowns.

“The research will help to assess the level of need and insights within the Hawkesbury to ascertain whether it would be a viable location for this type of service,” Ms Cable said.

The results from the short 10-minute survey will be used to validate community needs and recommendations for the ongoing wellness of the community, says Ms Cable and the end results will be assessed before the end of the year.
