South Windsor house destroyed by fire this morning – crime scene established

A house in Wood Rd, South Windsor burnt to the ground in the early hours of this morning and police have established a crime scene.

 

The blaze began around 1.35am (Saturday 26 December 2020), when Fire and Rescue teams and Hawkesbury Police arrived to find the single-level home well-alight.

 

An 18-year-old man was the only person home at the time but escaped uninjured.

The house was destroyed.

 

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command established a crime scene and are conducting inquiries into the cause of the fire.

 

Scene of crime officers and fire investigators plan to examine the home later today once it is deemed safe.
