Bilpin parking changes begin…
If you’re visiting Bilpin, make sure you check out the new parking restrictions now in place which see new and extended No Stopping areas and more parallel parking spots.
Work crews from Transport for NSW have finished placing the new parking restrictions following a consultation period with residents.
The changes see:
· Parallel parking areas along both sides of Bells Line of Road on both sides of its intersection with Hanlons Road South, and also on the eastern side of its intersection with Hanlons Road North.
· A No Stopping area on Bells Line of Road at the intersection of Hanlons Road North
· And a No Stopping area in Hanlons Road South along both sides of the street that join with the existing No Stopping area located at its intersection with Bells Line of Road.
TfNSW received 28 submissions from Bilpin residents during the consultation period. TfNSW says the top issues identified were related to business and residential impact as a result of increased traffic in the area, safety issues for motorists and pedestrians, insufficient parking and signage, the need for further surveys, and a more comprehensive review of the area, increased enforcement, and the review of the speed limit through Bells Line of Road, Bilpin.
The new parking changes are now in affect and will be policed, so make sure you’re following the new rules to avoid potential fines.
