Cattai man in his 80s falls from tractor – Careflight fly him to Westmead with multiple fractures
A man aged in his late 80s fell from the tractor he was riding on a Cattai property, suffering multiple limb and suspected pelvic injuries, yesterday [Sunday] afternoon.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked shortly after 4:30pm and landed 15 minutes later in the grounds of the property.
The medical team made their way to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the man.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic conducted a clinical assessment on the patient, carrying out an ultrasound as well as administering pain relief.
CareFlight’s medical team provided ongoing observation for the man as he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
