COVID UPDATE – WED – 110 NEW CASES 43 INFECTIOUS IN COMMUNITY – HAWKESBURY CASES STEADY
Up to 8pm last night there were an extra 43 people – double those reported yesterday – who have been infectious and out in the community in NSW.
That number needs to get down as near to zero as possible before the lockdown is lifted.
Hawkesbury cases are still numbered at 6, with the sources of those infections all known to NSW Health.
There have been 12,733 tests now carried out in the Hawkesbury, so up from 12,303 yesterday.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian says today at 11am, if the lockdown hadn’t happened there would undoubtedly be thousands of cases across NSW by now.
In total, 106 people with COVID are in hospital in NSW, 23 are in ICU, and 11 are on ventilators.
