Gentlemen – and ladies – start your engines, Windsor High’s Car Show is ready to roll

Sep 22, 2022

Our public schools provide high quality education and they also need all the funding help they can get, so get your act in gear and motor over to Windsor High School in October for their famous Car Show.

The Show will include a sparkling variety of cars and motorbikes from old to new, customised and off road, and maybe some that cost more than a house deposit!

The show is not only broad and inclusive, it’s also an iconic Hawkesbury event and will see trophies awarded for a range of makes and models, as well as people’s choice.

Get along and see what is on display. The car owners love a chat, and they will be happy to share the history behind their cars.

Enjoy a bite from the BBQ and coffee cart for those who need a pick me up in the morning. There will be a jumping castle for the children, WWI & WWII vehicles, steam engines and a variety of market stalls will be there to stroll around.

And Windsor High’s own very talented students will be making the trophies, baking cakes and manning the coffee cart, as well as providing entertainment on the day.

Funds raised from the Show will support extra-curricular and ad hoc requests from the school to support student learning and engagement. The P&C has previously purchased and installed a chilled drinking water fountain, extended the bus shelter, and paid entry fees for student competitions, plus more, out of the proceeds including the Car Show.

As one of the organisers told the Post, “P&C fundraising gives the students that little bit extra”.

The event is at the school on Sunday October 16 with gates open to the general public from 9am. Entry for cars and motorbikes is from 7am. Entry is $5 per person and $10 for display cars.
