Hawkesbury Cup Day Success 

This Saturday, May 4th, the Hawkesbury Race Club had a fantastic celebration for the 19th standalone Richmond Club Hawkesbury Cup meeting.

After this successful Hawkesbury Cup Day, Hawkesbury Race Club CEO James Heddon said “the Hawkesbury standalone meeting was established in 2006 and continues to go from strength to strength. I look forward to now working with Racing NSW to look at any opportunities to further enhance this event.”

The event was sold out, bringing in a huge crowd to enjoy the entertainment, fashion, luncheon, beverage, and racing filled event.

Racing NSW increased the funding for this event, which Heddon said “delivered the strongest fields ever assembled at a Hawkesbury Cup meeting”. These fields hosted 10 racing events over the course of the day.

Other than the races, off-course entertainment captivated everyone there, with “a hotly contested Fashions on the Field Competition, as well as a stunning after Cup performance by Furnace and the Fundamentals” said Heddon, which “was well received by everyone in attendance”.
