Hawkesbury Show starts Friday – book tickets online for savings – family ticket $50

Apr 22, 2021

In its 134th year, and cancelled last year due to Covid-19 health restrictions, the much loved Hawkesbury Show returns on Friday and over the weekend.

The Show celebrates agricultural excellence, and includes animal and produce competitions and trade exhibitions, and let’s not forget there’s all the fun of the fair too.

If you want to save some money on ticket prices, Friday is the day to go. Saturday and Sunday prices are higher, and the Show organisers say booking online will not only speed up entry to the Show but will also save you some dollars too.

Online ticket prices range from $10 on Friday ($12 on Saturday and Sunday) for a child over five years old and up to a student aged 17.

Adults are $20 per day ($22 on the weekend) but if you’re a family you can save with a ticket for one adult and two children between five and 15 years old coming in at $30 a day ($36 on the weekend).

Two adults and two children will cost you $50 (weekend, $60). Any additional children over the age of five will cost an extra $5 each (same price on the weekend) when a family ticket is bought.

Concession card holders can get in for $10 ($15 on the weekend) and carers can go in for free but you have to fill out a form.

Formed in 1879 and a member of the Agricultural Show Societies Council of NSW, the Show is managed by the not-for-profit Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association (HDAA).

President of the HDAA, Mr Ross Matheson, said the Show would highlight the very best of what the Hawkesbury had to offer.

“Since our last Show in 2019, we have battled with the drought, dreadful bushfires, the pandemic and record-breaking floods, but now we’re back and determined to make this the best Show yet,” Mr Matheson said.

“From wood chopping to sheep dog demonstrations, visitors will be able to enjoy an array of classic agricultural activities.

“Of course, the Show will also include a great range of amusement rides, alongside local business stands, and the always popular showbags.

“When you visit, you’re supporting our community and local jobs, so we really encourage everyone to make a day of it.”

The Show will include an Anzac Day ceremony on the Sunday the 25th.
