Investigation following four vehicle crash at Kurmond this morning – police ask for dashcam footage

An investigation is underway following a four-vehicle crash at Kurmond early this morning, which saw three young children and two adults taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

 

The accident occurred at 5am, with emergency services called to Bells Line of Road, near Comleroy Road, at Kurmond, following reports of a four-vehicle crash. Police officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command discovered four vehicles – a truck, two utility trucks, and a Holden Commodore station wagon – had collided. The driver of the Holden, a 30-year-old man, and the front passenger, a 33-year-old woman were taken to Westmead Hospital, both in a stable condition. Three of the Holden’s rear passengers – a 3-year-old girl, a 6-year-old boy, and an 8-year-old girl – were taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The drivers of the two utes, a 58-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, and the truck driver, a 46-year-old man, were all treated for minor injuries on the scene. Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
