Michael and his brother Peter founded Kurmond Homes in 2009 after both working in the building industry. Today the company employs 60 full-time staff and according to a company spokesperson, “has never lost its strong sense of family and work ethic”.
South Windsor-based, Kurmond Homes, builds custom and project homes in the Greater Sydney region, plus the Hunter region, to Wollongong, and the Blue Mountains.
The company plans to build a shopping centre in Kurrajong, which we reported on here.

“While this tragedy has a profound effect on the family and the people who work for Kurmond Homes it will not disrupt the progress of the many building projects that are underway,” the spokesperson told the Post this evening – Monday.
“Kurmond Homes has a strong management team in place, who will continue to build on Michael’s legacy,” said the spokesperson.
Mr Kulakovski is survived by his wife and four children. The family asks for privacy during this difficult period, said the spokesperson.
