Minor flooding possible for the Hawkesbury Nepean and Colo rivers from Friday into weekend

BOM says, “a low pressure system is forecast to bring heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across New South Wales from Wednesday to Friday, before weakening, but will be quickly followed by another rain-bearing system on the weekend.

“This weather system is likely to affect coastal catchments including the Wollombi Brook, Lower Hunter, Hawkesbury Nepean and Colo Rivers from Friday into the weekend,” says BOM.

Catchments likely to be affected include: Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean Rivers – minor flooding Upper Coxs River – no information currently Colo River – minor flooding Macdonald River – no information currently.

 

Warragamba Dam sits at 100% full today – Wednesday – so will continue to spill.
