Nationwide Garage Sale Trail Set to Hit Hawkesbury Once Again
The much-anticipated nationwide Garage Sale Trail is back in the Hawkesbury over two consecutive weekends, November 11-12 and 18-19.
More than 5,000 sales have already been listed across Australia, and 12 sales have already been registered in the Hawkesbury, including a multi-household sale in
Oakville and a closing-down sale of sensory toys from a play centre in Hobartville. Nina’s Pre-loved Goods in South Windsor is participating, along with private sales
by downsizers, crafters, collectors and de-clutterers.
The event is open to everyone, and you can take part for one day or more over the two designated weekends.
Initially created by two Bondi locals, Andrew and Dazz, The Garage Sale Trail has evolved from a single secondhand stall to a nationwide festival.
The duo’s simple tagline, “Don’t dump it. Sell it”, quote has resonated with Australians for more than 13 years. Today, the Garage Sale Trail sees more than 300,000 Aussies
turning their unwanted items into cash.
Last year, the event saw more than four million kilos of goods, from 150,000 garage sales avoid diversion into landfill and environmental contamination.
With cost-of-living pressures, there’s no better way to get some extra cash for Christmas or find some treasures at a bargain price.
It’s not too late to register for a garage sale, and the website provides all sorts of hints and tips to market your sale and make it a fun celebration to remember. Joining takes less than five minutes. To register head to the Garage Sale Trail website at https://www.garagesaletrail.com.au/.
