Police appeal for info on armed robbery at Windsor hotel – Strike Force formed – video released

Nov 1, 2022

Police have set-up Strike Force Craigmoor and released CCTV vision as they appeal for information following the armed robbery of a hotel in George St, Windsor last month.

At 9.30pm on Sunday September 18, police were called to the licensed premises on George Street after an armed robbery.

A man – who was wearing dark clothing and a face covering – got into the premises, threatened a female employee, and demanded cash from a till and safe in the hotel’s office.

The woman handed over cash into a bag provided by the man, who then then fled the scene via Union Lane.

Although shaken, the woman was not physically injured during the incident.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command set-up a crime scene, which was forensically examined.

Detectives have since established Strike Force Craigmoor to further investigate the robbery.

As their inquiries continue, strike force investigators have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man shown is described as being of a medium build, about 170cm-180cm tall, and shown wearing dark coloured clothing and a face covering.

Anyone with information, or who may have dashcam vision from the area is urged to contact Windsor Police Station or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.

Investigations under Strike Force Craigmoor are continuing.
