Unearthing the Secrets of the Hawkesbury Body Farm

Have you ever wondered what happens out at the body farm?

Join author and journalist Jackie Dent as she discusses with Hawkesbury Post publisher, Samantha Magnusson, her time at the Australian Facility for Taphomonic Experimental Research as part of her research into her book on whole body donation – “The Great Dead Body Teachers.”

Jackie’s grandparents donated their bodies to the University of Queensland and she went on a quest to find out what happened to their bodies, the fate of donors now and the incredible history of anatomy and dissection.

She will talk about the fascinating and important scientific work being conducted at the farm as well as the scientists – mainly women – who work in this field.
