Weather watch – Rain today and tomorrow, no flood warnings so far, Warragamba Dam 96.6% full

Welcome to a fairly cool, wet and windy Thursday across the Hawkesbury.

We will be keeping an eye on river levels and talking to our contacts at the Bureau of Meteorology throughout the day to keep you all up to speed on any developments.

At this stage we’re looking at two days of steady rain – 95% likelihood today and 90% Friday, clearing to showers on Saturday – 5% rain chance Saturday and 50% on Sunday.

Warragamba Dam sits at 96.6% full this morning, so a bit of space for the rainfall there and it’s not changed in the last 24 hours. Just for interest, the Dam level this time last year was 83.5%.

Meanwhile, the roads are pretty greasy out there and still plenty of potholes and bad road surfaces thanks to the floods, so drive carefully.
