Woman charged with assault after alleged affray involving 10 women at horse race meet – Clarendon

Nov 5, 2022

A Richmond woman has been charged with common assault following an alleged affray at a horse race meet at the Hawkesbury Race Club this week, which police say involved 10 women. About 4.40pm on Thursday police were notified of what they called “a physical altercation involving up to 10 women at a horse race meet in Clarendon”. Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command arrested a 53-year-old woman at the scene before she was later released, pending further inquiries. Following extensive inquiries, police went to a home on Bourke Street, Richmond, at 6.20pm on Friday where they issued a Court Attendance Notice to a 53-year-old woman for common assault.

She is due to appear at Windsor Local Court on Friday December 16. As investigations are continuing, anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
