Woman Dies in Wake of Morning Crash in Pitt Town
A woman has tragically lost her life following a crash this morning in Pitt Town. The incident, a two-car collision between a sedan and a utility vehicle on Pitt Town Road around 8 am, has left the community in shock.
The driver of the sedan, a woman in her 30s, was initially treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being urgently transported to Westmead Hospital in critical condition. Regrettably, despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries, highlighting the severity of the impact.
Simultaneously, the driver of the utility, a 33-year-old man, received on-site treatment for minor injuries and was subsequently taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for mandatory testing.
Hawkesbury Police Area Command responded to the emergency call, establishing a crime scene and launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
