Woman flown to hospital after medical episode at home in Upper Macdonald this morning

Nov 9, 2021

A woman aged in her 70s has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after she suffered a serious medical episode at a home residence in Upper Macdonald this morning.

The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked to the incident by NSW Ambulance shortly before 9:30am and landed around 20 minutes later on the property in a clearing around 150 metres from the residence.

NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived by road around the same time and worked with CareFlight’s medical team as initial treatment was provided.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment on the woman before she was transferred to the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter.

The woman was flown under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s medical team to Westmead Hospital.
