Police arrest and charge Windsor two over suspicious Bligh Park house fire

Police arrested a man and woman from Windsor yesterday and charged them in connection with a suspicious house fire in Bligh Park that took place back in February.

 

At 5.20am on Thursday February 4, emergency services were called to Neilson Crescent, Bligh Park, following reports a house was well alight.

 

Fire & Rescue NSW attended and put the blaze out but the house was completely gutted.

 

No one was home at the time, and there were no reports of injury.

The fire was deemed suspicious and officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command began an investigation.

 

Following inquires, police investigators arrested a 57-year-old man at a home in Windsor on Wednesday.

 

He was charged with destroy property in company – use fire – and remains before the courts. He is next due to appear before Windsor Local Court on Thursday 10 February 2022.

 

Following further inquiries, investigators arrested a 30-year-old woman at home in Windsor about 8.20am yesterday (Wednesday 17 November 2021).

 

She was charged with destroy property in company – use fire. She appeared at Penrith Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 17 November 2021), where she was granted conditional bail to appear at Windsor Local Court on Thursday December 9.
