Raptor Squad assist Criminal Groups Squad in arrest of Grose Vale man – charged with drugs offences
Eagle-eyed passers-by in North Richmond’s Hanna Park yesterday spotted Raptor Squad getting ready for an operation which they later carried out at a Grose Vale property just after 2.30pm where a man was arrested and charged with drugs offences and deal with property proceeds of crime.
The operation began earlier in Newport on Sydney’s Northern Beaches when
State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad investigators stopped a vehicle on Barrenjoey Road just after 2.15pm – Friday.
During a search of the truck, officers found vials of testosterone and cash. The items were seized for forensic examination.
As part of follow on inquiries, Criminal Groups Squad officers – with the assistance of the Raptor Squad – carried out a search warrant at a property on Grose Vale Road, Grose Vale, shortly after 2.30pm Friday.
During a search of the home, officers found 288g of methylamphetamine.
The occupant, a 42-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Windsor Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug – indictable, possess prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Windsor Local Court on Thursday 25 November.
