Settlers Road – Wisemans Ferry – may be closed due to bad weather

Just a heads-up – Hawkesbury Council are saying Thomas James Bridge, Settlers Road, which is on the north side of the Hawkesbury River at Wisemans Ferry between the Ferry and the National Park entrance, may be closed “if road conditions deteriorate,” during the expected bad weather.

The road was damaged during the last floods.

“Gates have been installed at the site of the road failure for use in the event of an emergency closure’” says Council.

Monitoring of the road is taking place and, the road may be closed at short notice for the safety of motorists, they say.
