Wisemans Ferry – Strike Force Twill investigating child sex abuse claims from the 1980s

Apr 20, 2023

Police have launched an investigation into reported child sex abuse offences in the Hawkesbury region during the 1980s.

Hawkesbury Police Area Command detectives established Strike Force Twill in October last year, following a number of reports of alleged child sex abuse that occurred at a holiday park in Wisemans Ferry.

Police have been told between 1982 and 1987, a resident of a holiday park allegedly sexually assaulted a number of young boys.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone who may be able to assist detectives, including anyone who holidayed in the area at that time and witnessed suspicious behaviour.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
