Police officer charged with 3 counts of assault after alleged Bligh Park incident
A police officer has been charged with assault following investigations by officers from North-West Metropolitan Region into reports of an alleged assault by an on-duty police officer at Bligh Park on Friday, February 18.
Following inquiries, a senior constable – attached to a command in the North-West Metropolitan Region – was issued a court attendance notice on Thursday.
The officer was charged with three counts of common assault, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, plus a charge of ‘remain on inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse’.
The officer will appear at Windsor Local Court on Thursday, September 15 to face the charges.
The officer’s employment status is currently under review, says NSW Police.
