RATs in the Hawkesbury – have you tracked them down?

We’ve all been encouraged – not least by Premier Dominic Perrottet – to get a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for COVID rather than always going along to a clinic or a drive-through, such has been the demand for their services as COVID cases have rocketed.

The RAT quick home-test can let you know if indeed the symptoms you have are COVID and then you can isolate – or not – accordingly.

But where are all these RATs?

Have you found a RAT test – and if so where and how much?

We know the Federal government simply didn’t order enough of them – though many are on their way now, initially aimed at those with concession cards who will be able to get a handful for free.

But what about the rest of us?

We took a look this morning at the clever Find a RAT website set-up by a Melbourne software developer. It’s been a big hit since it was launched at the beginning of the year because it allows people to go in and tell everyone where RATs are available nationwide.

Not so good for the Hawkesbury though because today it’s saying there are only two places with RATs in our region – one at petrol station Metro Petroleum in Londonderry, which actually isn’t in the Hawkesbury, and another at South Windsor, which apparently has no stock.

So, we wanted to ask – have you managed to get a RAT in the Hawkesbury, and if so, where from? And how much did it cost per test?
