Richards’ election signs defaced in Kurrajong as we move into election campaign half way mark

Apr 30, 2022

Liberal councillor and candidate for the Federal seat of Macquarie, Sarah Richards, claimed on social media just over a week ago that as many as 120 of her election signs had mysteriously disappeared, and today it appears someone has defaced four of her signs in Kurrajong.

The billboard signs, at the so-called Bark Park at Kurrajong, were there this morning so had probably been defaced overnight.

A single letter was spray painted on each of the signs.

Macquarie, currently held by Labor’s Susan Templeman, is the most marginal Federal seat in Australia with only 371 votes in it at the last election, held in 2019.
