Severe thunderstorms coming Bilpin way – Bureau of Meteorology Amber alert – heavy rain expected

Just in from Bureau of Meteorology – Amber Alert.

“Locations which may be affected include Bilpin, Penrith, Bowral, Campbelltown, Springwood, and Nerriga.”

It may impact other areas of the Hawkesbury too – a wide potential area, though it may miss some parts of our region.

“Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in the Illawarra and parts of the Hunter, Metropolitan, Central Tablelands and Southern Tablelands districts,” says BOM.
