Storm causes major flash flood in Turnbull Ave, Wilberforce this evening…

Some of our suburbs escaped major rain and floods this evening, but not so Turnbull Avenue in Wilberforce which local Ashley Martin tells us flash flooded around 7pm.

Ashley tells us it’s the second time the road has seriously flooded, the last time during the height of the flood emergency.

“The rain started pouring a little before 7pm and only about 10-15 mins before it was like this. Probably took an hour for the water to go down,” Ashley told us this evening.

He reckons it’s partly to do with blocked storm drains.
