WARRAGAMBA DAM SPILLING – WATER LEVEL AT 100% FULL SUNDAY MORNING
WaterNSW announced – 11pm Saturday – “following rainfall across Sydney’s water supply catchments this week, Warragamba Dam will be releasing water through the crest gates from around midnight tonight.”
We’ve asked WaterNSW how much water is being released and we’ll have more on that when we hear back from them.
The spill from the dam may continue all week, depending on water flow into the dam, says WaterNSW.
River users may notice increases in river heights over this period, says Water NSW.
River users should refer to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website for river heights, weather forecasts and warnings.
Of course, we’ll also be reporting here on any developments as they happen.
There are currently no flood warnings for the Hawkesbury.
