He has been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Court tomorrow – Sunday 20.

Just after 3am on Saturday, emergency services were called to George Street, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Police were told several people left the Fitzroy Hotel on George Street before a fight occurred in a car park on Kable Street.

During the incident, a 27-year-old man was stabbed multiple times and returned to the Fitzroy to seek assistance.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital. He has undergone surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition.

During a search of the man, police allegedly seized a knife and a bag of white powder which police will allege is cocaine.

Following further inquiries, police arrested a second man, aged 25, on Day Street about 3.35am.
