Branch out with Kokedama

Oct 15, 2020

Have you ever wondered about the art of Kokedama – or even asked what Kokedama is – and wanted to know how to make your own?

It’s a wrap – Kokedama

Well, now you can experience this ancient Japanese art and learn all about it at Hawkesbury Central Library this Saturday from 11am to midday.

A twist on indoor planting, the workshop will reveal how to make and care for a Kokedama. This ancient art involves binding a plant in moss and twine, transforming plants into mini works of art. You’ll also learn how to creatively display them.

Organised by Leaf an Impression, the workshop costs $40 per person with all materials supplied. Tickets are limited and bookings are essential. Book at www.hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com or call 4560 4460.

Hawkesbury Library Service has put a COVID-Safe plan in place. Library events are restricted to a maximum of 20 participants. Social distancing requirements will be observed, with hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities provided. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend.
