Grose Vale Road closed once again between Bowen Mountain Rd and Westbury Rd

Workmen put Detour and Road Closed signs up this morning on this short stretch of road at 7.25am. The road is still closed at 910am.

There is no mention of the closure on Hawkesbury Council’s Emergency Dashboard where road closures should be posted.

Back in March this section of road was closed for a lengthy period during the floods after constant rain loosened some of the earth in the banks above the road, sending mud and uprooted trees onto the road surface and damaging one of the roadside barriers.

There is a short workaround diversion along Bowen Mountain and Westbury Roads.
