Snakes about…
You could say, it’s hardly news. After all, this time of year snakes love to get out and about, but it’s never a bad thing to remind ourselves to be careful.
This little beauty – or slithery thing if you don’t like snakes – was snapped yesterday at Bowen Mountain up near Crago Observatory by resident David Porter. It’s a Death Adder, and they’re common up on the Mountain.
Be especially careful with your dogs. Snakes rarely attack for no reason. But if they are bothered by a dog or any other animal they will likely retaliate, and you don’t want to step on one either, so be sharp and let’s let our reptilian friends go about their business as undisturbed as possible.
