Very High fire rating Tuesday – temps up to 40-plus

Nov 30, 2020

After the brief respite today with the cooler air coming in last night and chasing away that stifling 40-plus degrees of heat yesterday, Tuesday promises a return to the hot weather.

The Hawkesbury can expect between 38 and 42C on Tuesday – the first official day of Summer.

There is no Total Fire Ban yet – usually they are called the afternoon before, so nothing at 4.45pm, but that could change. Clearly, not lighting a fire on such a hot day would be a sensible move, if you can avoid it.

According to Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) – partly cloudy.

Slight (20%) chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening.

Winds north to north easterly 20 to 30 km/h increasing to 30 to 45 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the late evening.

Try and keep cool out there tomorrow, people.
