A woman has died after a boating incident on the Hawkesbury River.
Police said emergency services were called to the Hawkesbury River at Bar Point just before 8am this morning, following reports a woman was missing after leaving in a boat.
Police attached to Marine Area Command located an unoccupied boat at the scene, before pulling an unresponsive 44-year-old woman from the water.
The woman was rendered aid by police before she was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, she died at the scene.
Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
