Sand and sandbags now at McQuade Park as well as Wilberforce – long trip for those west of the river

You can now get sand and sandbags at both the Council’s Depot at 1 Old Sackville Road, Wilberforce – though remember to take your shovel because you have to fill your own sandbags.

McQuade Park in Windsor is also now open – that opened around 50 minutes ago. Yes, we don’t know why Hawkesbury Council can’t let the local media know either – it’s not difficult.

And once again, no sand bags nearer those west of the river than Wilberforce. You’d have to ask – and many already have during the last two floods – why there is no sandbag station in North Richmond, for example.

No access to McQuade Park available via Hawkesbury Valley Way.
